Charlie Sheen is looking to successfully get back in the good graces of the public eye, showing a level of maturity in reuniting with Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre on his new series Bookie. But will he and Jon Cryer ever be back on speaking terms?
Jon Cryer recently told TVLine that he is still a fan of Lorre but hasn’t spoken with Sheen since around the time Two and a Half Men went off the air. “I have loved working with Chuck…[After Two and a Half Men] I was on Kominsky Method, and his new show [Bookie] really does sound like fun. That being said, I haven’t spoken with Charlie in seven-some plus years, so I have no idea where he’s at.” However, he was fairly optimistic in potentially making amends with his former co-star, saying, “I don’t close anything off. In our latest Summer Blockbuster Preview, we check out Edgar Wright’s fantasy comedy Scott Pilgrim Vs The World…
What Is It?
An adaptation of one book in Bryan Lee O'Malley's six-part comic series, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World is colourful post-modern mash-up of romantic comedy, fantasy and kung-fu movie.
Michael Cera stars as Scott, the 23-year-old slacker bass player who falls madly in love with Ramona (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). But before they can even consider going out on a date, there's a catch: Scott must first defeat Ramona's seven evil exes.
What follows is a series of increasingly outlandish scenes of armed and unarmed combat, a little like Enter The Dragon viewed through a filter of hallucinogens, with underdog hero Scott sent bouncing of steel girders and crashing into walls a hundred feet off the ground.

The studio confirmed that Bacall has been hired to adapt the Len Williams-penned novel, acquired by Warners for Maguire Entertainment in May. It centers on the story of Billy Ray Billings, who has been wrongly convicted under Alabama's three-strikes law, which gives him no chance at parole. He schools himself on the law and then escapes, changes his name and becomes a lawyer. At the studio, the project is being overseen by Kevin McCormick and Alicia Cotter. Maguire is producing along with Sergio Aguero of Three Monkeys Entertainment. Elia Infascelli-Smith will executive produce with Mark Ross, the latter of whom runs Maguire's company. Bacall is repped by ICM and attorney Michael Shankman. He previously penned the film Bookies, starring Nick Stahl, Lukas Haas, Rachael Leigh Cook and Johnny Galecki, and Jordan Melamed's Manic, starring Don Cheadle and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
