Finally, a thorough examination of the Stock, Aitken, Waterman hit factory, which dominated UK pop in the mid-to-late 1980s. All the main players are interviewed, including a radically surgically reshaped Pete Burns of Dead Or Alive, Bananarama, Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, and a disturbingly bitter and twisted Jason Donovan. The nasty breakup of the production team is only briefly discussed, presumably for legal reasons, and neither Aitken nor Stock make an appearance. Waterman, as usual, blows his own horn, but it's well worth a look if you loved this era of music.
