Los Rubios (The Blonds) is a brave and unique film. Brave because it defies a simple way of approaching Argentine past. And unique because it finds a very personal and original way to tell its story.
The story, if we can call it that way, refers to a personal trauma: Albertina Carri's parents were kidnapped and killed during Argentina's dirty war. Albertina questions everything: the past, the present, the testimonies, the realities and fictions of memories.
It´s a very free spirited film that intertwines different narrative sources in a very irreverent way. A must see. 10/10.
