Jane and Al get their marriage license and then buy tickets for a boat trip, intending to have a sea wedding. As they go up the gang plank, Al's ticket blows away and he chases it while Jane gets aboard. The ticket blows into a big pipe. Al dives after it and is lifted, with the pipe, to the hold of the vessel, which leaves the dock and puts to sea. Al is discovered by the captain who demands his ticket. Failing to produce the document he is thrown back in the hold, but gets loose again and again. At last he borrows a maid's costume and hires a photographer to take his picture when he faints in the captain's arms. He threatens to send the print to the captain's wife. Thus blackmailed, the skipper agrees to marry the couple and keep his mouth shut about the ticket.
