Political propaganda disguised as Kung Fu action flick
zzmale26 November 2003
The film caught a ride in the wave of sport enthusiasm in the 1980's, starting with the Chinese women's national volleyball team winning world championship, which was used as political propaganda by the regime to boost nationalism. The relatively newly introduced karate also served this purposes via movie.
