The literal translation of the title is: Bloodshed at Red Horse-drawn cart.
This movie, like most Chinese war movies, are based on the true story that really happened, but it is not accurate enough:
First, the guerrilla was extremely poorly equipped, and unlike what is depicted in the movie, most were armed by muskets instead of rifles.
Second, to glorify the guerrilla, the enemy was depicted as a formidable enemy with best equipment, which was not the case, instead, the enemy was equipped with the bolt-action rifles instead of the semi-automatic rifles, but in the movie, there was barely any scene in which you can see them manually pull back the bolts.
These are the flaws of this war movie that could not fool the military enthusiasts.
