A witchcraft topic taking place in France, in the deep countryside, is very rare; but on the other hand, a witchcraft story taking place in Paris would have been very unlikely. This one is surprisingly long in the running time, but not boring. It is rather good, tense, riveting, with a convincing Christian Barbier performance. A good deep analysis of the folks living in villages, hamlets, as also was RADIO CORBEAU, shot ten years later. And many other French films and Tv movies taking place in the rural France. Yes, this one is interesting, worth the catch and watch. Strange story and rather unusual after all.
