I agree with the previous review. The original Takeshi's Castle was so sublimely ridiculous and painfully funny, there was no need to try and 'spice it up' with the annoying and stupid American overdubs (in MXC). It really isn't needed because it's funny as it is. And I would really like to know what's going on and what everyone is really saying (I'm sure it's much more interesting), not some lame made up comment about farts or tarts.
I'm not quite sure why it's so hilarious to see people injuring themselves! How can you not laugh at people sliding awkwardly down hillsides in an over-sized teacup and trying to land upright in a lake?! Or people trying to cling on to a giant spinning mushroom being flown over a lake while people pelt volleyballs at them? A show that would never be allowed these days with indemnity insurance and lawsuits... bring back the chaos, I say! True to Takeshi Kitano's original vision, it really is a live action version of Super Mario! One of the stupidest and funniest shows around.
