Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is planning to throw her shoe at Simon Cowell if he annoys her. The 'Only Human' singer is ''still rowing'' with her fellow 'X Factor' judge, and though she insists their disagreements are ''playful'', she is already thinking of ways to reprimand him when he gets on her nerves. She said: ''We're still rowing but it's playful. He knows which buttons to press. ''He won't let me change seats. Sometimes I want to move away from him but won't let me and that winds me up. ''I've got to work on not retaliating. I don't think I'll be throwing glasses of water...

The worst-kept secret in telly is out - The X Factor 2015 judging panel has been confirmed.
Together with a returning Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini are BBC Radio 1 breakfast show DJ Nick Grimshaw and popstar/actress Rita Ora.
But is their addition to the X Factor judging lineup a promising shake-up for the show, or a disaster waiting to happen? Here, two writers argue for and against the latest changes to the primetime giant that can still draw in audiences of over 10 million viewers.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini gets an earful from Ant & Dec when appearing on Saturday Night Takeaway.
The X Factor judge is ordered to show her diva side as she takes part in the show's 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Out Of Me Ear!' segment, relinquishing all control to the duo.
Cheryl has to accompany a series of estate agents around her house, and treats one unsuspecting victim to a romantic meal - complete with violinist.
However, the peace is soon disturbed as Ant & Dec order Cheryl to tell the musician to "knock it off" and dismiss him from the scene.
The 'Only Human' singer later treats the estate agents to a peek inside in the fridge, where she is greeted by a single photo of Louis Walsh, a tray of pies and a bottle of Newcastle brown ale.
The full sketch will air on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway...

Tonight on Dancing With The Stars, the 10 remaining celebrities will commemorate their “Most Memorable Year” by selecting songs that encompass a memorable time or experience in their lives. Last Season’s “Memorable Year” episode earned each celebrity high scores and brought us Amy Purdy’s dramatic routine to Christina Perri’s “Only Human.” The dance celebrated Amy’s father and his selfless gift of one of his kidneys; when bacterial Meningitis cost Amy lost both of her legs, before she learned to walk again, Amy learned to dance in her father’s arms. Neverminds is the first in a series focusing on an all-female superhero team. The team is introduced as they begin a rescue mission. Their covert op is interrupted by a mysterious and powerful villain who has been lying in wait. The stranger fights the team to a stand-still before fleeing into the night, allowing the ladies to finish their mission. The story is well plotted, including a nice twist ending, which makes up for the overall lackluster dialogue. Jamie Fay shows his stuff as an artist, though. The colors are vibrant, the characters are distinct and well drawn, and the book has an overall professional feel to it.

Warner Bros has announced that all 120 Episodes of the camp 60s Batman series are coming to DVD and Blu-Ray for the first time in November. This is awesome news (so many stars were in that show) but what about consumer choices? May I please order Batman: The Incomplete Series with only the Batgirl & Catwoman episodes at a discounted price? That's how I watched the show as a child. If the Batgirl cutout above didn't come swinging into frame during that nananananana theme song (as she did in episodes in which she appeared) I sometimes just turned off the TV and ran outside to play. True story!
My preferred Catwoman Fwiw was Julie Newmar.... though as an adult my appreciation for Eartha Kitt in other venues rose dramatically so I'm curious if I would like her rendition of Catwoman more now?
Anyway it's all remastered.

Before it's sidetracked by a bizarre amnesiac-meets-hooker subplot, Total Siyapaa (Total Chaos) is a staid Hindi variation on Meet the Parents.
A London-set remake of Spanish romantic comedy Only Human, the movie is at least distinguished by its choice of subjects: Weirdly timid guitarist Aman (Ali Zafar) tries to impress the family of his milquetoast fiancée, Asha (Yami Gautam).
But Asha is Indian, and Aman is Pakistani, and her family is intolerant in an ostensibly comical fashion. Asha's mom (Kiron Kher) hates Pakistanis, her granddad (Vishwa Badola) shot "Pakis" while in the Indian Army, and her brother, Manav (Anuj Pandit), can't stand their noisy Pakistani neighbors.

11 months after his last hit Chashme Baddoor, Ali Zafar is back on the big screen with Total Siyapaa. While the David Dhawan directed comedy was as 'filmy' as it gets, Total Siyapaa is on the lines of other concept based films like Tere Bin Laden and London Paris New York that Ali has been a part of.
"Mostly, what I look for in my films is the content of the script. Also, it works when such films are made on a tight budget. Like for example Total Siyapaa was shot in 28 days flat. We could afford to do that as the script was water tight and we didn't have to invent things on the sets. I could pretty much sense that the shooting would be smooth once Neeraj Pandey shared the script with me. It sounded very direct and balanced. Now that was a feat in itself because the very...

The Yami Gautam-Ali Zafar Indo-Pak story Total Siyapaa scheduled for release this Friday can breathe a sigh of relief. The Indian censor board has passed the film with a UA certificate and asked for only one line of dialogue referring to Pakistan to be changed and a love-making sequence to be removed. The dialogue that the Censor Board Of Film Certification (Cbfc) wanted changed went, 'Hum Pakistan Ko Lete Rehte hain'. Says director E Niwas, "They wanted us to beep out the word 'lete' . Instead I chose to change the entire line. The character now says, 'Hum Pakistan se ladte rehte hain.' Other cuts included visuals and sounds of love-making on the soundtrack. Says Niwas, "They asked us to remove a suggested sex scene in a work-place and some sounds of pleasure during love-making. 'Why do you want to spoil the fun mood with suggestive stuff?'...

Picture this. The daughter of a family has a secret boyfriend whom she's about to introduce to the family. No big deal, right? But what if she is an Indian and he's a Pakistani?
Picking on this pert premise screenwriter Neeraj Pandey does a special 69 on cross-border politics. Borderline tensions are defused to the point until we see just the ludicrous futility of cultural bickering. It's a delicious idea to build a plot around.
Pandey derives inspiration from a Spanish film "Seres Queridos", in which the conflict between the Palestinian boy and his girlfriend's Jewish family was served in a feisty.

A lot of pre-release publicity is being heaped on the new comedy Total Siyappa. But the behind-the-scenes back-story of how the film lost its original title is far more interesting than Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam trying hard to be funny and cute at the media events. The film was originally titled Aman Ki Asha, as it fitted in nicely with the concept of the Indo-Pak story. However, the title is closely and inextricably associated with a cultural peace plan initiated by a publishing house. Hence calling the film Aman Ki Asha would not only have seemed an extension of the campaign mooted by the publishing house, it also might have been an infringement of copyright. When asked, director E. Niwas says the old title just didn't fit in. "We didn't want people to think it was another Veer-Zara kind of love story," says Niwas, leaving you wondering what's wrong with Veer-Zara.

Left to right: the audiobook, the 50th anniversary edition, the original cover.
“Humane.” The last word in Only Human by Gareth Roberts. It is a story concerned deeply with our humanity: our frailty to our perfection, our cruelty to our compassion, our living, and dying, and loving, and surviving. It sounds like so many other Doctor Who stories when I put it like that, but the twist this time, is that everyone–villain to victim–is human. Not that that has never happened on Doctor Who either. Exploring what it means to be human is a central Doctor Who theme, but Only Human takes this theme head on, pushing its bounds, and the result is beautiful.
I had a lot of reasons to be excited about this book. Any regular viewer of modern Doctor Who is familiar with Mr. Roberts’s work: he wrote Closing Time, The Lodger, Planet of the Dead,...

The silky-voiced R&B star joined Tim McGraw for a surprise performance Wednesday night. The two sang a pair of duets for a crowd of a few hundred invited guests at a private event on the eve of the Country Music Association Awards.
"For me, I feel like in another life I might've been a country artist," Ne-Yo said in an interview after the performance.
And he's not joking. He's found lots to love about country music since first joining McGraw for a Nashville-style songwriting session a few years back.
"Faith Hill actually made me fried chicken," Ne-Yo said. "She cooked fried chicken for me and it was fantastic. I knew I was coming out here to write, so I was expecting to go to like a studio and hear some skeletal track and then just go from there.

Tim McGraw’s last album for Curb Records will come out Jan. 24. “Emotional Traffic,” co-produced by McGraw and his longtime producer Byron Gallimore includes “Felt Good On My Lips,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in 2011, as well as current single, “Better Than I Used to Be.” The set also features a duet with Ne-Yo on “Only Human.” McGraw is no stranger to blending genres: he and Nelly collaborated on “Over and Over” in 2004. The album also has a song co-written by McGraw and Martina McBride. The release most likely brings a close to...

The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast took to Twitter Sunday night to react to the reunion show. The episode was insane and so were the tweets. Needless to say, the Bravo reunion show, part one, was just the beginning.

With cookbooks, singing careers, should I or shouldn't I open up restaurants and scum calling, comes Twitter talk from the cast. How did they react while watching the episode alongside the rest of the viewers? Here's a collection of their thoughts while Andy Cohen dished the oh sh*t questions.
Check out the Season 3, Part 1 Recap here.
The Manzo's:

It seems Joe Washbourn, Toploader singer and Popstar to Operastar contestant, has set his sights on becoming a wedding singer.
The Sun reports that Joe, who’s currently favourite to leave the show tomorrow night, won’t however be adding opera singer to his CV.
He told TV Biz, “When it comes to a Toploader gig, you’re going to get Toploader songs.
“But opera is something I’ve had so much fun doing I might be busting it out at weddings and mates’ parties.”
However, Joseph may sneak some opera onto new tracks. The songwriter, 35, said:
“Never say never. I might sling a bit in the next album!”
Joe went on to discuss who he thinks will win Popstar, citing Joe McElderry as his favourite…
He said, “I think he’s an expert at this type of show. He doesn’t seem that nervous.”

After a gruelling Avatar press tour that covered three out of the four corners of the earth, James Cameron has been caught on camera being welcomed back to the capital of the movie world by more than the usual fanfare of screams, shouts outs and photo requests. This time the visual record shows the side of a fan and director that definitely did not fulfill the festive cheer. Set your bo-peepers on this…
This whole thing reminds me of the time I met Bruce Campbell of ‘Evil Dead’ fame and asked for his autograph. The difference being was that I was forking out hard earned money for his signature at a film convention, hence I was justified in my request as I was paying for the pleasure of a genuine scrawl. What wasn’t justified was that I wanted my full size replica ‘Army of Darkness’ custom made chainsaw, shipped...

It's an interesting week for comics with movie/television tie-ins, with a lot of fan-favorite properties in the mix—especially for science-fiction fans! Here's what we're adding to our pull list for August 12, 2009:
"Star Trek: Nero" #1 (Idw Publishing): Remember how Romulan villain Nero (played by Eric Bana) was supposed to have been waiting 25 years to catch Spock after getting caught in that crazy time-bending portal? What was he doing all that time? Well, if that plot element from the recent "Star Trek" movie has been keeping you up at night, you can sleep safely knowing that Idw is kicking off a new series this week that chronicles Nero's off-camera machinations.
Written by Mike Johnson and Tim Jones, with art and covers by David Messina, "Nero" follows in the footsteps of Idw's previous, well-received "Star Trek" titles that not only earned kudos from comics fans, but from the Trek faithful,...

Joss Whedon’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” crew sure do get around these days. Whether it’s voicing “Green Lantern” heroes or “Angel” characters making cameos elsewhere around the comics world, the demons, vamps and slayers of the Whedon-verse (and the actors who played them) are in high demand.
Offering yet another way to meet that demand, Idw Publishing has announced “Angel: Only Human” — a new, four-part story spun-off from their main “Angel” series and focusing on the troubled characters Illyria and James Gunn. Kicking off in August, the miniseries puts the pair on the road to redemption (literally), as they deal with their recent return to the mortal plane.
Idw has provided Splash Page readers with the first look at the variant cover for “Angel: Only Human” #1, featuring the art of veteran “Star Wars” artist Dave Dorman.

- Meeting your significant other’s family for the first time – a situation that is a both a landmark moment in a relationship, and also a test of sorts as to the strength of the relationship. It is a landmark moment because it means that you are taking the relationship seriously enough to be meeting your significant other’s family. And it is a test of the relationship’s strength because the situation is awkward for all parties involved – your significant other, his or her family, and you. You want to make a good impression on the family. The parents want to make a good impression on you; after all, if the relationship is a success you may be a new addition to the family. And your significant other, your girlfriend, boyfriend, lover, whatever you prefer to call them, wants his or her family to approve of you, to be
