• Director Brian W. Cook and writer Anthony Frewin both worked with Stanley Kubrick on several movies.

• Jim Davidson met Alan Conway who pretended to be Stanley Kubrick. He even bought him dinner at a hotel in Devon, and was impressed that it took "lots" of takes to get the opening scene of 'Full Metal Jacket' right.
