Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Frequent gory violence throughout. Much more violent and disturbing than the previous installments.
  • Some gory images from cube traps
  • A man's head is cut open in what appears to be a surgical procedure.
  • A man is sprayed with and drinks what he first believes is water, but is actually acid. It causes the skin on his arm and then that of his face to fall off (revealing the bloody tissues beneath) and then he melts into a pile of gory tissue, skin and flesh.
  • Several razor wires shoot across a room, wrapping themselves around a man's limbs, which then slowly tighten until the man's head, arms, legs, and waist are sliced into large bloody chunks.
  • A woman is shown after having been ravaged by a flesh eating bacteria.
  • A man completely explodes from bombardment with incredibly intense sound waves.
  • A man is incinerated alive. Lighting is dim, and so the scene is not as gory as it could be.
  • A man is cut open (and presumably killed) so that an item in his stomach can be removed. This is done off camera, but his screams can still be heard.
  • A man is impaled in the back by a sharp pole.

Profanity

  • Some language

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some scenes inside the cube may be frightening for young viewers, both due to the depicted violence, and the concept of being trapped within a booby-trapped maze of cube-shaped rooms with no clear exit.
  • This film is much more disturbing and different than the first two installments. It has mixed themes of religion and surrealism.
