Aside from enjoying the film many times over the years, I have always been curious as to the type of motorcycle used in the film. I would appreciate a response, should some one know the answer. Beside having this curiosity, I would love to see more films of this proportion depicting actual facts that have had the impact this film has had. All too often we lose sight of the individuals who have stood by their convictions, (right or wrong) and pursued them regardless of cost. It would seem to me that there are many events that have taken place throughout the world that would make more than interesting movies, and add more of an educational impact rather than evoke the fear, and anger that some of the movies have done over recent years. Thank you.

Just the Best Movie Ever Made. Period!

As a very young man I saw this movie never having heard of T.E. Lawrence nor most of the cast. As long as it was I was sorry to see it end. Great plot, brilliant acting, fantastic scenery, wonderful action, beautiful dramatic score - what else could one ask for in a movie? The first appearance of Omar Shariff has to be one of the most dramatic and beautiful scenes ever caught on celluloid.
One of the many things I loved about this movie is that it prompted me to study the history of the area. Much of what I learned because of this outside research helps me when I read today's headlines.
My only complaint? I was thirsty during the whole movie but didn't want to take a second out to buy a drink. Thank God for intermission!
