Eric Balfour: There are Marcus-isms.
Mike Vogel: We shoot! We get work done now!
Jessica Biel: We shoot now!
Jonathan Tucker: Shoot! Shoot! We must shoot!
Mike Vogel: But Marcus, the actors aren't here.
Eric Balfour: I don't give a fuck! We shoot around them!
Jessica Biel: We should have shot ten minutes ago, five minutes ago.
Jonathan Tucker: Shoot! Shoot!
Eric Balfour: Okay, roll everything!
Jonathan Tucker: We must continue!
Jessica Biel: I'm not angry with you. It's just me.
Jonathan Tucker: What, are you an idiot?
Jessica Biel: I'm German and this is the way I express myself.
Jonathan Tucker: This is my German way of saying, "Please do better!"
Jessica Biel: As he's yelling at everybody.
Jonathan Tucker: Shoot!
Marcus Nispel: Let's get control of these people.

*** (out of 4)
Director Marcus Nispel, producer Michael Bay and several of the cast and crew members are interviewed for this 76-minute documentary that takes a look at the making of the remake of THE Texas CHAINSAW MASSACRE. This is a pretty darn good documentary that starts off with the outrage that people felt when word got out that the Tobe Hooper classic was going to be remade. There are some funny interviews with fans and then we get to hear some about that 1973 film. We get to hear about its production as well as the huge impact it had on the genre and then we cut to Bay who discusses what the point of remaking it was.
From here we learn about the director, what he wanted to do with the film and then we get into casting and various stages of the production. This documentary pretty much covers everything you'd want to know about the film including the music, the special effects and we also get to hear from cast members like Jessica Biel, R. Lee Ermey and Andrew Bryniarski who played Leatherface.
I think the highlight of the thing were the first ten or so minutes when we hear about the original and from the fans who were outraged at it being remade. The majority of the stuff dealing with the remake was good but before long the thing did start to feel too much like a promotional piece with everyone talking about how great everyone was doing. This here did get a tad bit old but if you're a fan of the film then there's no question that this is worth watching.
