Well, finally we are here: the last installment of Shuten Doji, which there is some sort of explanation (A weird and not very convincing explanation, in my opinion) about all the absurd stuff which happened in all the previous episodes.
The ending was strangely sweet. It would have been almost heartwarming if it wasn't for all the nastiness and absurdity that preceded it.
I guess that this could have been much worse, like the awful Violence Jack OVAs, which were terrible.
There isn't much more that I could add. "Shuten Doji" was mostly a guilty pleasure, which I can't recommend seriously, but which personally I don't hate, despite all the flaws it had.
