During the filming of the movie, Alpaslan Dikmen (one of the leaders of ultrAslan, Galatasaray's only supporter group) put in a huge effort trying to cast voluntary Galatasaray fans for them to act as extras in the movie. He posted news on the Internet, talked to people during football games, phoned many key people in the Galatasaray stands and asked for their cooperation. Sadly, he died in a traffic crash on the 27th of September, 2008.

Errores:

Errores que Revelan: During the Moscow part, everyone in the police station is watching the final game, but the scenes briefly shown on the TV (which are supposedly from the actual final game) are actually from the Galatasaray-Deportivo Champions Leauge 2nd Group, Group B match from 14.02.2001. This game ended 1-0 in favor of Galatasaray, thanks to an 8th minute goal from Suat Kaya.

Helps enjoying being European with a cute humor

I watched the movie in Istanbul Film Festival with the presence of the director Hannes Stöhr - I was sitting just three rows up from where Mr. Stöhr sat. Anyway, I liked the movie's sense of internationality, its funny but balanced approach towards national differences, its respect to the nationalistic views and its notion of Europe not being a continent just constituted by EU-countries.

The humor of the movie is built upon international differences and similarities. It bears some bias on nations but it doesn't emphasize them, it just plays with them to create humor. At the end, I liked the movie and I liked Mr. Stöhr after listening to his conference about his movie. Not an important movie after all, but helps enjoying being European with a cute humor.
