The next-door neighbor of a henpecked husband, Edgar Kennedy, tells Edgar that he controls his wife and family by falling illness. Edgar decides that's just the ticket for him and, on arriving home, staggers to the couch, pretending to be violently ill. Each family members decides to try their own home-remedy, and Edgar tries to laugh them off, but that convinces the family he is crazy and they telephone for a mental specialist. He and Edgar end up in a fight and, when the police arrive, Edgar convinces them the doctor is the crazy one.
