It's news to me that I am in so many other shows
melissa_murray42 April 2008
I participated in this movie as a favor to my friends Jeff & Steve Wedding. We had fun while making it and the premier was a blast (right Ash!). It was interesting to see some of the behind the scenes stuff involved in making even a small movie. I think they did a pretty good job.

I think the movie is actually decent given the fact that they had such a limited budget. Also, my son was also the young Clive. It is amazing how critical people are when they don't even have a clue as to what goes in to making a film.

I was most surprised to learn that I appear in so many other television shows. HA HA I think someone needs to check their sources. ha ha

pretty bad... but!
totallycool9021031 January 2008
i'll admit this film is pretty bad. not quite ed wood bad, but i've definitely seen worse.

the acting is problematic, and the editing was horrible, but for such a low budget i'd say it's quite impressive. one of the directors, jeff wedding, has turned out several more films which are fantastic.

gracie: the diary of a coma patient, is easily one of the best Gothic films in the last few years, and judy is moving and altogether beautiful.

this film was just starting point for the brothers Wedding. give them a chance.

Awful, awful, awful. A 10 on the Stink-O-Meter!
ceverett11 January 2005
Ugh. It's hard to describe the acting in this movie, and I'm using the word very loosely. Suffice it to say that almost none of these "actors" would make it in dinner theater in Peoria...or even in a high-school play. It was so bad that I had to fast-forward through some parts just to make it to the end, and I've never done that to a movie before.

There's a "making of" feature on this disc where they say something about realizing at some point that they don't have enough film to make the movie, and I think it's obvious because there doesn't seem to have been a single take that didn't get included in the final movie. It could only have been worse if the actors were actually holding their scripts rather than reading them off of cue cards.

Perhaps you're thinking that I'm just over-stating things, but I have to assure you that I'm not. I think if you picked any 10 people off of the street at random and asked them to read parts in this script that they'd have to be better overall than this cast. In the making-of feature they mention investors, and somehow I'm sure I've already met them all.

But enough about the actors. What about the movie? Well, the opening scenes were really odd...I couldn't figure out what they were trying to depict (there was no dialog). As it turns out, that was intentional...but (and I won't give away the *weak, pointless* plot here) the best I could figure after watching those scenes three times was that the main character had gone to work one day, then a meeting of managers happened, then he was fired and ended up sitting on his front stoop reading the classifieds looking for a job and drinking coffee. Nothing could have been farther from the truth, and it would have been best if those scenes had been left out entirely. They were only included so that they could come back to them right at the end of the movie, and by then you had to have figured it out already unless you were sleeping through the previous scene.

Suffice it to say that this movie is unwatchable, and even if you do make it to the end the twist (that you've known all along must be coming to make some sense out of the cheesy story) isn't worth the price of admission. Avoid this movie! Then again, that's only my opinion...I could be wrong. Who wants pie?

Awful!
dixie-1827 August 2005
I would award this film 0 stars if IMDb allowed. Clearly the comment entered in April 2005 was done so by the director or his mom. To call the players actors is an insult. This is very childish, and not worth your time. If you rent this one, you will waste your money. All the players seem to have the skills of average junior high school actors. The writing is about the same level. there is no doubt the director and others worked hard, but this proves that just anybody cannot make a film.

I would go so far as to say that not only is this film not worth renting, it is not worth watching on free TV, you will only be wasting your time, if not your money.

Laughably AWFUL
carolynnorthrop17 July 2005
As I sit here, my mother and sister are watching this waste of time. My sister actually had a fit of laughter with tears streaming down her face at how comically BAD this movie is. WHO made this film?? Who green-lighted this project? And who, half way through making it, decided to bother to keep going?? And WHERE did the money come from to back this up?? SO bad bad bad. The directors should strongly consider another way of making a living. It's not even a nice try. The 3 most ridiculous aspects are 1) the bad dialogue and 2) the attempt at 'artsy' parts, and 3) the bad acting - by EVERYONE. It should be on a top ten list of stinkers.

"Blind" is would not be worth watching if it was free

This movie is very bad! My husband and I kept re-reading the description to see if maybe the wrong DVD was in the case. We couldn't believe that we picked this. The acting was terrible. Not a single recognizable actor, and no one that we have seen since. The plot was like an awful attempt of a remake of a thriller that didn't make it the first time around. The killer was wearing a costume with frizzy white hair. Why? We don't know................... There was one long silence after another followed by................no meaningful dialogue. The scary parts were a little scary, but would have been just as scary with or without the movie. It just never came together. What a disappointment.

There is no excuse for this movie
JKScott7 August 2005
This movie has no redeeming factor - there is no reason in the world this should have been made. Aside from the horrible acting, overtly artsy direction and poor script, here are three things that I consider to be the worst parts of the movie: 1) The main character is clearly homosexual. Now, I don't have a problem with gay people, but he is supposed to be a loving husband. Thus, this is a tribute to his lack of acting ability more than anything else.

2) The awkward pauses between speaking, where the actors seem to be trying to remember their lines before delivery.

3) The lighting. It looks like they gave absolutely no thought to the placement of lights, which nullifies any drama during the "scary" parts that they might have had. The characters faces are routinely overshadowed (not on purpose) which makes them look fat and also makes it impossible to see any "emotion" as they deliver their lines.

This movie came on television and another user commented that this movie would not be worth watching if it were free - they were right. Run, don't walk, away from this.

One of the worst I've ever seen
girlishways5 January 2006
The other bad reviews here are dead on. The ONLY way you could appreciate this movie is if you are friends or family with the cast/crew. I understand that it's a small independent film with no budget, but that's no excuse for the miserable script. Predictable and mind-numbingly boring. I very rarely get the urge to turn off a movie halfway through, but I almost did several times with this one. I was laughing out loud at moments that were obviously not intended to be funny... but overall, it wasn't even stupid enough to be a laugh riot, it was just boring as hell. I think low budget soft-core porn on Cinemax has better scripts and acting. Horrible, horrible movie... don't waste your time or money.

I'm very forgiving with indie films
vmalast3 April 2018
Was this the worst no budget film I've seen? No. the worst actors? No. believe me there are much worse out and about. I would rather see an outstanding short film than a mediocre full length film. this should have been a short film. Would I recommend it? Not really however, I wouldn't say stay away. On a side note, its great to have family and friends supporting your craft but, false high ratings do more harm than good.

Another independent serial killer movie
Leofwine_draca17 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I saw this independent horror movie on Amazon Prime, which is probably the only place you're ever going to find it. It's a lacklustre and entirely derivative serial killer movie about a detective on the hunt for a crazed murderer who finds himself experiencing a psychic link to the killer. Yeah, I know, that old chestnut, and it plays out here in a distinctly underwhelming fashion.

I should say that the film does have a semi-professional look which automatically makes it better than the majority of similar films I've watched on Prime. That doesn't make it good, however. There are proper characters, but not much story, and some good bits but many boring or bad. The actor playing the killer gives an underwhelming performance and there's no gore to speak of, making this an oddly tame experience.

A great movie, knowing the money that went in to it made it great.
sswedding2 June 2007
After reading some of the reviews about this movie, now I know what makes this such a hateful world. These people must live a sorry life thats all I can say, with nothing better to do than sit on there you know what with a bag of popcorn and make comments about something they know nothing about. These kids went through hell to make this movie and yes they did it for their mother.I really thought this was an excellent movie for the money and the age these two were when it was made, their mother was dying from cancer when this was going on. And yes for the one that made the comment about the mothers being involved, yes, they were, in their hearts. Thanks. Steve Wedding. Very, very, very proud Father.

Fairly good amateur film
schmooglie13 December 2005
To begin with, the people that are lacking an understanding for why this films seems inferior to big name films, are completely oblivious. The actors in this movie WERE NOT PAID. It makes quite a substantial difference when you are scraping along with only $40,000 to produce a movie with a very good storyline and plot, with inexperienced actors. The very notion of this film becoming as big as it was obviously had been a small project that excited the creators to get their work this far. Had the director acquired more money this obviously would have been quite an extraordinary film. So before you bash other people's creativity and willingness to get out on the market perhaps research the background and discover the means of which this film was created.

Try This Movie Again-Trust Me
gingermreeves4 April 2005
For those of you who have posted negative comments-please reconsider. For those of you who have not seen this-definitely give it a try. It is well worth the price of a rental.

My friend wrote and made this movie with his brother (two completely independent (i.e. broke) filmmakers) on virtually no budget and with only help and lots of favors from friends all being made at night and on weekends and a few vacation days all while everyone involved had full time jobs. It was a project that he put his heart and soul into for several years and it was his dream to get this movie made. Much beyond his dream of just getting it made, someone believed in him and picked it up for DVD.

However, I think it is a phenomenal movie. The writing is great and the movie is well developed. You have to pay attention, there are subtle clues that lead to the plot twist. I thought, even without knowing what tears and sweat went into the movie-it was every bit as good as any "real movie" I have seen.

Several people commented that there are no real actors-remember-this is an independent film...without a big company backing a movie, there is no budget for big actors, but the talent that is involved is fabulous.

Anyways, if you want to see a good movie-try it. If you just want to support someone who believed in himself when nobody else did and took a chance and lived out his dream-watch it.

Good true crime drama
linniallenla30 January 2020
With his first film Jeff Wedding gives us a throwback to the 90's cop dramas. With a tale of a damaged cop who ends up going after a very damaged serial killer and victim of child abuse. The subject matter of child abuse is handled very realistically, not really shown, but you get the emotion from the voice overs. This is a good touch cause it let's you get into the mind of the killer, and why he's doing what he's doing. Very reminiscent of Silence of the Lambs, which I'm sure was some inspiration behind this movie. David Mellow does a wonderful job with the cinematography, the camerawork and lighting. The sound design is of very good quality.

For being an indie film-maker, here are his first attempt. You can see already he films his films with a quality higher classed than most indie film-makers. This is no masterpiece and it does tend to pace itself on long takes of people talking, very similar to the crime dramas it's based on. The movie it reminded me most of was the fantastic film Relentless (1989). The flow and plot-line are very similar in there. Katie Groshong shines in the limited role she has, but Ben Clayton keeps the movie moving.

All in all, I give this movie kudos for being a director's first attempt, and a very good one at that. For Jeff Wedding would go on to make masterpieces.
