- It is very evident that one of the main characters is in love with a girl, but it's pretty innocent and nothing happens.

- A baby gets trapped in a minefield and in one attempt to save him, another boy injures his leg severely with a detonating mine. Some blood is seen later.
- A young girl sets her clothes on fire in an attempt to kill herself, but she ends refusing to do it.
- It's implied that an explosion happened. You only see fire, but no dead bodies are shown.

- The ending is very sad and hopeless.

Sex & Nudity
- It is revealed that a young girl (aged 12-13) was raped by Baath soldiers and got pregnant. You can see a flashback of the men chasing her and finally catching her as you hear her screams and cries . VERY disturbing and hard to watch.
Violence & Gore
- The movie opens with a young girl (aged around 12-13) committing suicide by jumping to her death . You only see the jump, the dead body is not shown.
- It is revealed that a girl was raped by Baath soldiers and that she got pregnant from it, having a child which she hates. You can see flashbacks of the girl being chased around and how the soldiers take her as she screams and cries . VERY disturbing and hard to watch.
- A little baby is killed by his teen-aged mother. You see her tying the baby's foot with a rope against a heavy rock in front of a lake as the baby cries, and then she suddenly pushes the rock into the water and the baby falls inside the lake, drowning to death off-screen . This scene is EXTREMELY sad and disturbing. She later commits suicide by jumping to her death .
- The dead body of a baby is found on the deepest part of a lake and you are able to see it for around 5-6 seconds . Very sad and impacting scene.

- The rape scene, altought not shown on-screen, is EXTREMELY disturbing and hard to watch.
