- Some suggestive dancing in some scenes and at beginning of movie.
- A man and a woman kiss. We see a brief scene where it is implied they are having sex, seen from a distance, and then we see them in bed together.
- A man kisses a woman with her legs wrapped around him, with the implication of possible sex.

- A young woman slaps a young man.
- A gang of men rush after a carload of people throwing rocks and other objects, presumably with the intent of killing those inside.
- Several Texas Rangers brandish guns and point it at a crowd.
- At beginning of the movie: Two men fight, with one brandishing a razor. A man punches a man several times, takes a razor that was used to attack him with, and prepares to cut the other man before being interrupted.
- We see a bloodied, dead pig after it was (presumably) killed by a car impact.
- A group of fleeing men are attacked by a gang of vigilantes and are shown briefly being beaten. We see a man's bloodied and bruised face, implying that he was viciously beaten in order to elicit information.
- A boy is slapped in the face by his father after an argument.
- We see a hanging corpse of a black man that was lynched by a white mob (It is also implied that he was burned and skinned).

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Several emotionally intense moments.
- The face off of the protestors and the Texas Rangers is fairly intense.
- The many instances of racism and tense moments cases by race may be difficult for some viewers.
- The raid of the barn meeting is frightening.
- The lynching scene is a frightening scene in the film, as a black debate team encounters the white men doing the lynching. They narrowly escape the mob.
