Highly entertaining twenty-one minute interview with director David Cronenberg who discusses the production and reaction to his 1977 horror film RABID. The director starts off talking about the movie SHIVERS and how many people objected to that type of movie getting funding from Canada. This here caused them to look for money elsewhere on RABID. From here we get into the production, which includes stories of the casting and how Sissy Specek was originally going to do the role but there were objections. From here we learn about the casting of Marilyn Chambers and the negative reaction to the violence in the movie once it was released. Fans of the director and RABID will certainly enjoy watching this interview as the director has several interesting things to say about the genre and those who see things in movies that might just not actually be there.
