Juan Leonard and his wife Carmen cook, were archeologists who in 1955 filmed a trip they made to visit the Lacandon Indians. After the couple had died, the documentary was discovered in a dark room in their home in Amatlan in Mexico, and the film was restored, re-edited and released for the first time in 2002.
