An OK movie to kill some time with.

This movie is maybe just above average. It's an OK movie to kill some time with on a rainy afternoon.

Worst thing about the movie is the acting. The actors are acting in 'oh-look-I'm-funny' way, you know what I mean (hopefully). I always find it very annoying when people are acting like that in a movie. The voices are acceptable, although nothing close to the original actors of course.

Also the movie doesn't have that many funny moments, I didn't laughed out loud, maybe I only chuckled a few times but that's about it. Oh and Jar Jar bashing already got old about 3 years ago. Also this movie has a "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith" spoiler in it, I wish they had put a warning in it for that. So people who want to remain spoiler-free for episode III should probably better wait with watching this movie.

The only thing the movie deserves really credit for is the visual look of it. The costumes are good and fun and the sets are probably the best thing of the entire movie.

Just an OK movie, not a must see in any way.

I've watched several Star Wars "Fan Films" and I must say that this is the best. "Sith Apprentice" creates comedy that is accessible at all levels. The Die-hard Star Wars fan, the Film epicure, and the casual comedy viewer will all find something funny about Sith Apprentice. It would be silly of me to make examples, since you can go watch the film for free and silliness is the point of the movie, not this review. Also, go to the website of the production company and look at the filming stills to understand the amount of hard work that went into making this look and sound like star wars.

In conclusion, the hard work of the actors and z team productions creates a believable comedic masterpiece.

Great Fan Film!!!!

"Sith Apprentice" is one of the greatest Star Wars fan films I have seen. I have long been a fan of Z Team Productions and their other fan films, such as "Darth Vader's Psychic Hotline." However this one is far and above my favorite. Not only do the costumes and digital effects impress for a fan film, but the physical actions of the actors help to convey the humor further. Filled with many pop culture references, some of which I did not catch until a second or third viewing, this film will appeal to Star Wars fans of any caliber, and probably to many non-fans as well. Also, the acting is excellent and really adds to the overall effect of the movie. In particular, new comer Patrick McCray does an excellent job as the notorious Count Dooku. This film deserves any award for which it is nominated, and was an extremely worthy choice as fan favorite for 2005. 10 out of 10 stars seems almost inappropriate so lets crank it up to 11. 11 out of 10 stars.

VERY funny... especially if you're a fan

This is one great fan film. It was one of the first I had seen, but it still remains as one of the funniest. It's a parody or spoof of the "The Apprentice" show, using Star Wars characters as the "apprentices" - Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Count Dooku and... well... Jar Jar Binks.

It has some VERY funny gags - like Darth Maul constantly repeating one of his few lines in "The Phantom Menace", albeit with some variations - and I must admit I like the way Palpy dismisses Jar Jar at the beginning... he just doesn't imagine him working as a Sith. "Yousa fried!" =D

In the end, I definitely can say that this is one of the funniest fan films I've seen. It just isn't shy of showing that good and the bad aspects of the Star Wars mythos, or of somehow making fun of its characters. Highly recommendable, especially if you're a fan. =)
