The Lost Episode: Almost No Fan Has Seen This Secret Teen Titans Episode That’s Just 10 Minutes Long
Teen Titans, featuring the young group of DC superheroes is one of the most popular Cartoon Network animated series. The show was very different from the classical critically acclaimed DC animated shows we have seen before. The perfect blend of humor and rich story featured a story very different from the Batman and the Superman series that came before.
Interestingly, the Cartoon Network series had a secret episode titled The Lost Episode, which is not even known to a lot of the fans. The episode was nearly 12 minutes long and was a special episode made for a promotional campaign.

The ashes of the late Motörhead legend Lemmy Kilmister are being enshrined at one of his favorite Sunset Strip haunts: the iconic Rainbow Bar & Grill in West Hollywood.
A ceremony is set for April 19th at 9 p.m. Pt, with the Rainbow also inviting fans and attendees to “raise a very unique toast to Lemmy and Motörhead with the unveiling of brand new Motörhead Whiskey” via a Facebook post.
When he wasn’t on tour, Lemmy was a daily regular at the Rainbow and could often be found playing the video poker machine at the bar. The Rainbow would eventually dedicate its patio to the Motörhead leader, re-naming it “Lemmy’s Lounge.” A life-size bronze statue of Lemmy also resides on the patio, and in turn, the neighboring Roxy had a mural of him painted on the wall opposite the patio and statue.

Here are all of Jason Momoa‘s appearances as Arthur Curry (aka Aquaman) in Dceu movies and series and beyond in the order in which they were released.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom signaled the conclusion of the Dceu, and Jason Momoa’s version of the seafaring superhero has ridden his last seahorse.
Momoa, of course, played the character in multiple films, making his mark on the iconic DC personality. Aquaman has long been the butt of the joke but the actor managed to imbue him with a sort of rough-and-tumble charisma not commonly associated with the hero.

Color me surprised twice over. I missed the press screening of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the closing chapter of the DC Extended Universe, and ventured to a theater to check out a screening in IMAX on Christmas Day. The lobby was packed with customers, most of whom were going to see The Color Purple on its opening day. Given how much I’ve forgotten random stuff recently, I’ll go with that as the excuse for why I wasn’t expecting so many people to be watching movies on December 25th. That was surprise number one. Surprise number two, Warner Bros. Pictures’ Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom wasn’t a complete disaster.
Sure, it’s not going to earn a spot in the Top 10 (out of 15) Dceu films.

This holiday weekend saw Vincent Chase return to theaters with Aquaman landing in first place and his highly anticipated turn in Ferrari still to come on Christmas Day. Sadly for the Medellín star and his Entourage, Aquaman landed with a thud while Ferrari isn’t expected to make much of a mark.
Yesterday saw Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom heading to an underwhelming $30 million 3 day debut. Well, it appears even that number was a bit of a pipe dream as the king of Atlantis is seeing a revised weekend of $28.1 million with its 4 day expected to hit just shy of $40 million. That number makes The Lost Kingdom the fourth worst opening in the entire Dceu (after Pandemic plagued titles like Wonder Woman 1984 and The Suicide Squad and this years bomb Blue Beetle). With horrible reviews (including a 5/10 from our own Chris Bumbray) and low audience exit polls (79% audience score and...

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's new villain, Karshon, has an unexpected update from director James Wan.
While marketing for the Jason Momoa-led sequel established that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's Black Manta will serve as the main villain, the King of Atlantis is also expected to deal with other foes from the sea.

Promotion for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom might have taken a long time to breach the surface. Still, Warner Bros. is finally doing what it can to get superhero cinema fans to strap their floaties on to dive headlong into the DC’s fraught sequel. Gaining prime real estate during the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom lands on the latest Empire Magazine covers for a world exclusive that shows Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) doesn’t appreciate threats to his underwater kingdom.
The first Empire Magazine cover depicts Aquaman driving his trident into a winterized wasteland of ice and snow. As the ground cracks from impact, the friendly-to-fish hero stares with determination and protectiveness. The second cover features Aquaman as an ice sculpture, creating an epic ice logue you could awkwardly drink whiskey shots from. Jack Daniels: Codpiece Edition, anyone?

The public broadcaster is developing the project, which hasn’t yet been greenlit, with a view to airing as a limited series, we understand. Argonon-backed Worzel Gummidge and Hard Cell indie Leopard Pictures is producing.
From prolific Northern Irish thriller writer McGowan, the book charts the reunion of six university friends together again after 20 years apart. Host Ali finally has the life she always wanted, a career she can be proud of and a wonderful family with her college boyfriend, now husband. But that night her best friend makes an accusation so shocking that nothing will ever be the same again, as she staggers in from the garden, bleeding and traumatized, she claims that she has been assaulted – by Ali’s husband, Mike.
The development is third time lucky for McGowan.

Exclusive: Just ahead of the 20th anniversary of Elephant, the Palme d’Or-winning Gus Van Sant pic that marked his breakout role, actor Alex Frost has signed with Brave Artists Management for representation. He’ll be repped by Luna Wise, who came over to Bam at the start of the year.
In Van Sant’s critically acclaimed psychological thriller released in October 2003, Frost portrayed teenage pianist and sketch artist Alex, who with his friend Eric (Eric Deulen), moves to orchestrate a school shooting. He’s otherwise perhaps best known for starring alongside Owen Wilson, Josh Peck and more in the Steven Brill-helmed coming-of-age comedy Drillbit Taylor, which Paramount released in 2008. Kristofor Brown and Seth Rogen scripted that title, which hailed from Judd Apatow’s Apatow Productions.

The long-awaited trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is here.
James Wan directs the film, with Jason Momoa returning as the titular hero. It is a sequel to 2018’s Aquaman, which stands as the highest-grossing DC movie of all time, with $1.148 billion at the box office.
Until this week, observers had wondered when the Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom trailer would debut. The film opens Dec. 20, and no trailer had materialized until now, despite the release date being just over three months away. Trailers for recent DC films The Flash and Blue Beetle debuted around four months before they hit theaters.
The film — starring Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, Amber Heard and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II — comes in the midst of the SAG-AFTRA strike, which prevents stars from promoting projects. If the strike is not resolved by December, the film will go out into the world without the benefit of...

Don’t believe everything you read. More than a hundred years after King Richard III was killed during the Battle of Bosworth Field, the last important fight of the War of the Roses and widely considered the end of the Middle Ages, William Shakespeare wrote his “Richard III,” which dramatized the king’s life, works, and death, turning him into something of a monster in the process. But what if, Stephen Frears’ “The Lost King” wonders, everything we thought we know about Richard, much of it straight from The Bard’s pen itself, was wrong indeed?
Many people have noodled on that same thing in the centuries since his death, including the nearly century-old Richard III Society, which is comprised of not just fans of the ruler, but fans who are dedicated to reassessing his reputation. But “The Lost King” is mostly concerned with just one fan: Philippa Langley, a...

IFC Films is acquiring North American rights to Stephen Frears’ drama The Lost King, starring Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water) and Steve Coogan (The Trip), ahead of its world premiere at the 47th Toronto Film Festival.
The film reuniting Frears with writers Coogan and Jeff Pope—who adapted the script for his 2013 dramedy Philomena—tells the remarkable true story of amateur historian Philippa Langley (Hawkins), who was behind the real life discovery of King Richard III in 2012 after the remains had been lost for 500 years. Langley spent years researching and searching for the remains, in spite of skepticism from friends, family and academics. Her story is one of a woman who refused to be ignored and who took on the country’s most eminent historians, forcing them to think again about one of the most controversial kings in England’s history. Seven decades ago, “A Streetcar Named Desire” not only became the first film to win three acting Oscars, but also the first to take both supporting prizes. These featured victories were achieved by Kim Hunter and Karl Malden, whose film was preceded by 13 others that received nominations for both awards. That total is now up to 103, but there have only been seven more cases of double supporting wins. Now, for the first time in five years, multiple films have shots at being added to the exclusive list.
This year, Judi Dench and Ciarán Hinds both earned bids for their supporting performances in “Belfast,” while featured players Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, and Kodi Smit-McPhee were all recognized for their work in “The Power of the Dog.”

Early in “The Lost Leonardo,” there is one of those whoa! moments that can make you think no movie is more gripping than a great documentary mystery about the art world. In 2005, two dealers stumble onto an obscure painting of Jesus Christ, his hand raised in a sacramental gesture; the painting is being offered at auction in New Orleans. They think the painting has…something. So they team up to purchase it for $1,175.
Much of the canvas has been painted over, and after they bring it to the noted art restorer Dianne Modestini, she goes to work on it, removing layers of varnish and overpainting to uncover an image that is striking but damaged, dotted with white blotches and streaks, like emanations of a lightning flash. But as she starts the process of restoration, filling in the colors, teasing out a buried layer that shows the thumb in a different...

In 2005, an art scavenger named Alexander Parish bought a High Renaissance painting from a small New Orleans auction house for $1,175. In 2017, Christie’s sold a heavily restored version of that same painting — the provenance of which had since become the art world’s hottest controversy — to the crown prince of Saudi Arabia for a cool $450,300,000 (presumably outbidding Kenneth Branagh’s character from “Tenet”). Mohammad bin Salman’s record-shattering purchase consecrated the idea that “Salvator Mundi” is an original Da Vinci better than any historian ever could, but if the origins of this oil-on-walnut portrait weren’t so intensely disputed, perhaps no one would have spent as much to assert its value. If only Orson Welles were still alive to have a hearty chuckle over the whole thing.

You know those features the Playlist has done in the past, The Lost, Forgotten, Unmade projects of Stanley Kubrick, David Fincher, Quentin Tarantino, etc., etc., looking at big-name feature filmmakers and the various projects they tried to get off the ground that never happened? Well, even though he’s only ever made two films, “In The Bedroom” and “Little Children,” a similar feature for director Todd Field could easily be made.

Exclusive: We hear that Neil Paik’s sci-fi short story, Rainbowfish: A Scumbag’s Guide to Stealing Water, Traversing Wormholes and Breaking Every Rule, is in development at Warner Bros. and Charles D. King’s MacRo. The studios won the IP in a competitive situation.
Rainbowfish, which was published on Six by Eight Press, takes place in a borderless future when the oceans have all but disappeared and the elusive Global Police enforces tyrannical laws. Their lives and that of a young water scavenger and a rebellious orphan collide in the most unexpected way. Paik will adapt his own short story for the screen.
MacRo’s Greta Fuentes will be an executive producer on Rainbowfish.
King’s MacRo, which has a first look deal with Warner Bros., has the untitled Fred Hampton movie at the studio. That’s being directed by Shaka King and follows Illinois Black Panther Party chairman Hampton and William O’Neal,...

A group of leading long-form journalists have launched a podcast studio backed by Sister, the production group run by Elisabeth Murdoch, Stacey Snider and Jane Featherstone and behind hit HBO/Sky drama Chernobyl.
Josh Dean, Vanessa Grigoriadis and Matthew Shaer as well as screenwriter and producer Adam Hoff have formed Campside, which will focus on premium narrative non-fiction storytelling.
Campside has formed with a “significant” start-up investment from Sister. The company has a slate of around 11 non-fiction podcasts in production or development spanning the true crime, scandal, and adventure genres.
Stacey Snider, Global Chief Executive of Sister, and the Campside quartet told Deadline how the deal came about and what they hope to achieve.
Campside’s first podcast will be a 10-part series on the Hollywood Con Queen scam, which has seen hundreds of people in town taken in by a person impersonating the likes of Amy Pascal and Kathleen Kennedy.

Tyler, the Creator made his debut on the Grammy stage to perform “Earfquake” and “New Magic Wand” alongside the R&b luminaries Charlie Wilson and Boyz II Men.
Wilson and Boyz II Men opened the performance like a barbershop quartet: Wilson sang a typically potent lead vocal while Boyz II Men harmonized prettily to “Earfquake” in the background. But the smooth, soft opening was a feint — moments later, Tyler, the Creator was shrieking into the microphone, moving jerkily to “New Magic Wand.” Soon an army of identically dressed dancers joined...

French cinema generated 40.5m admissions internationally for overall box office receipts of $272.5m (€244.4m), according to provisional figures released by French cinema export agency Unifrance on Thursday.

“I hope that we made something original, something surprising, something engaging, something worthy of discourse, something dangerous, something interesting, all the adjectives that I affix to the original Watchmen,” declares Damon Lindelof of the HBO series that is set to make its world debut today at New York Comic Con.
Based on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ acclaimed and genre shattering comic from the 1980s, this Watchmen from The Leftovers co-creator is distinctly set in an America of 2019. A nation where Robert Redford has been President for decades, where there is a lot less technology distracting people, where police wear masks and where superheroes once walked the Earth. Premiering on the premium cabler on October 20, the Tulsa set and Regina King-led Watchmen also unveils a nation that has seen reparations paid to African-Americans and the return of a white supremacist group called the Seventh Cavalry to plague the land and its citizens.

Watchmen fans know that original creator Alan Moore isn’t a fan of HBO’s upcoming adaptation… and executive producer Damon Lindelof is Ok with that.
The Lost veteran, who’s writing HBO’s new take on the revered graphic novel, addressed Moore’s surly reaction to the series at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Wednesday. “Alan Moore is a genius,” Lindelof said, before admitting “he’s made it very clear that he doesn’t want to have any association or affiliation with Watchmen.” (Moore won’t even allow his name to be credited on the series.

It's official. Like the passengers of the SS Minnow before them, the Lotus airlines castaways will remain stranded. As reported in February, the Wrecked TV show on TBS has been cancelled. At that time, star Zach Cregger announced the series' end on Twitter. Now the TBS cancellation has been confirmed.
A TBS single-camera comedy, Wrecked also stars Ally Maki, Asif Ali, Brian Sacca, Brooke Dillman, Jessica Lowe, Rhys Darby, and Will Greenberg. Guest stars include Rob Corddry, Eugene Cordero, Jonno Roberts, Karan Soni, Rachel House, Robert Baker, and Will Hines. The Lost parody centers on a diverse group of strangers who are stranded on a deserted island after a plane crash. In the third and final season, the castaways find themselves shipwrecked on a mysterious billionaire’s private island, where they're forced to hunt each other to the death in a basic-cable battle royale.

Exclusive: Amazon made it very clear earlier this year with a big Super Bowl ad that Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan is a big priority for them and the Jeff Bezos company are aiming to seal that deal at Comic-Con next month.
In fact, with a Jack Ryan participating panel and massive immersive experience just outside the San Diego Convention Center, Amazon is bringing its best and brightest to the confab, I’ve learned.

Netflix has picked up a new superhero project called Past Midnight, which will center around a "new kind of vigilante superhero" and Keanu Reeves is in talks to star in it!
The film will be directed by Dope director Rick Famuyiwa and it will be produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, who are best known for directing the last two Captain America movies and the upcoming Avengers films.
Details on the plot are being kept under wraps, all we know at this point is that it will introduce us to a new kind of vigilante hero. There's some great talent attached to it, though, and if Keanu Reeves signs up, you know it's going to be awesome!
There was a big bidding war on the script that was written by Tj Fixman and Netflix beat out everyone and took home the prize. Fixman has worked on upcoming films such as One Night on the Hudson,...

When it came to writing about the horrors of real life and the human monsters that walk among us, there was perhaps no one better than author Jack Ketchum, aka Dallas Mayr, and we're sad to share the news that Dallas has passed away at the age of 71.
Jack Ketchum's official website confirmed the news of Dallas' passing, and fellow author and close friend Christopher Golden also shared the news on Twitter, mentioning that Dallas had been fighting cancer for a long time.
When it came to writing visceral prose that pulled no punches, Dallas was a master. Whether writing about cannibals in Off Season, an old man seeking revenge for his dog in Red, or a pregnant woman trying to survive demented kidnappers in Right to Life, Dallas dug deep into tormented psyches and harrowing situations, shining an unforgiving light on both the humanity and depravity of all-too-real horrors...

First of all, before I start this, I just want to point out that my childhood, despite various factors, was still really great and I’m truly grateful that I grew up the way that I did. My circumstances allowed me to learn a lot and grow to be fiercely independent, and much of that is still something that I carry with me. But the reality is that I did grow up in a home with only a single mom (for most of the time), which meant my childhood was a lot different than many kids I grew up with. And at times, I felt like the odd girl out—but all that changed when I really got into horror.

It’s the eyes, isn’t it? Wide like saucers and twice as deep, they’re impenetrable. And the wooden leer of the wide open maw betrays them, separate and with its own agenda. Of course I’m referring to ventriloquist dummies, and the eerie spell they cast upon the viewer. The horror viewer, specifically; we’ll seek out anything that gives us a sense of unease. Which brings us to Richard Attenborough’s Magic (1978), a wryly creepy tale of encroaching madness and showbiz folly. (Aren’t they the same thing?)
