Director Katt Shea has announced the casting of Erik Fellows in the remake of her 1989 vampire classic Dance of the Damned.
Fellows entered the horror genre with Mustang Sally in 2006 and went on to appear in Monster Mountain and Road to Moloch before landing a recurring role in daytime soap Days of Our Lives.
The handsome 29-year-old will be taking on the role originated by Cyril O'Reilly as a vampire who yearns to learn what it's like to live in the daylight and ends up finding companionship with a suicidal stripper he has taken hostage.
We think he definitely has the right look to enter the crypt of the vampire genre, where brooding hunks are already smouldering with dark sex appeal in Twilight, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and Being Human.

Renowned director Katt Shea has confirmed that heartthrob actor Erik Fellows has been recruited to star in the upcoming remake of her film Dance of the Damned. Shea is again handling the directorial duties. Fellows, who is best known for his role as Troy Winston on the long-running daytime drama "Days of Our Lives," will play the role of The Vampire made famous by Cyril O'Reilly in the 1989 original.
