Reviving its old policy, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (Mns) led by Raj Thackeray has warned Bollywood producers against ‘laying the red carpet’ for Pakistani singer Atif Aslam on his purported “comeback” plans to croon for a Hindi film.
Mns Cinema Wing President Ameya Khopkar said that those who are gearing up to bring Aslam here based on a court verdict “need to be shown their place”.
“Pakistani artistes will not be tolerated here. Never. It is unfortunate that we need to repeat ourselves, yet let me make it clear once again,” Khopkar, who had earlier objected to the release of a Pakistan film titled ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ in December 2022, said here on Monday.
He also targeted popular singer Arijit Singh, who is reportedly standing in support of Aslam.

Once titled 'hitman' Hashmi due to his superb success record, actor Emraan Hashmi has been searching for that elusive hit for almost three years now. To be precise, his last big hit was Raaz 3 which released in September 2012.
In fact since Raaz 3, Emraan Hashmi has had some very promising films like Shanghai, Ek Thi Daayan, Ghanchakkar, etc flopping at the ticket window. Even his Dharma Productions outing Ungli failed to cut much ice, and the case was similar with his home banner venture (Vishesh Films), Mr X which despite the much touted SFX tanked. In all the cases, the hit music which was always associated with Emraan Hashmi films (and which earned him our title, music's lucky mascot) was clearly missing.
To cut a long story short, all eyes and hopes now rest on the golden boy Mohit Suri (Emraan's friend and cousin) to rejuvenate Emraan Hashmi's career and...

Director Mohit Suri, who is, at 33, Bollywood’s youngest veteran, is already nine films old.
Some of his earlier films like Awarapan, Zeher, Woh Lamhe, Murder-2 and Aashiqui-2, are evidence of his school of romance, which keeps away from roses and candy floss. In a time where run-of-the-mill romantic comedies are abundant, Suri’s cinema continues to depict romance in its intense, haunting and raw form.
His forthcoming release, Ek Villain, is a story about prohibited and forbidden love, bearing the quintessential Suri trademark.
Says Mohit, “Ek Villain speaks of a love that wasn’t meant to be. The sweet girl-next-door with fire in her heart and an angry young man hell-bent on setting the world on fire. This is an unconventional musical romance born out of angst.”
From all the new screen pairings, the fresh Sidharth – Shraddha combination has evoked unprecedented excitement amongst the youth. Trade pundits are gambling...

Impressed by the depth and emotional quotient of Shraddha Kapoor‘s voice in the trailer of Ek Villain, director Mohit Suri decided to take her voice beyond the song and convinced singer-composer Raju Singh to integrate her voice in the background score of the film.
Hence Shraddha Kapoor came for the recording Raju Singh’s Juhu studio [Mumba] and spend quality time with Raju, Mohit Suri and Tanuj Garg.
“In Ek Villain, the background holds a very important part, as it is the love story of a villain and one needs to keep the darkness in the romance element as well,” explains Raju Singh. “Mohit has an amazing music sense. And I felt this even with his film Zeher and his other movies till date. His sensitivity towards portrayal of relationships never ceases to amaze me. Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain starring Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor is among the most keenly awaited films of the season what with his enviable track record of blockbusters behind him.
Talking about the film’s unusual casting, Mohit says, “I’ve never followed convention. I’ve never cast people just because they’re hot or popular. For me, it’s always been about who is right for the role. Riteish, for instance, has never done something like this before. You’ve seen him largely in comic roles. Yet when you watch Ek Villain you will realize that there is no one better than Riteish for this role. Sidharth has struggled his way up; he’s seen dark days. There was angst in him that made him a perfect fit for this film. Shraddha is more like a boyfriend, a guy buddy I can call in the middle of the night.

New Delhi, April 21: Actor Emraan Hashmi might have played the role of a lover boy in several Bollywood movies in the past, but he won't opt for roles that don't have "any depth" or "logic".

Emraan married Parveen Shahani in 2006. They have a son named Ayaan.

New Delhi: Udita Goswami who recently returned to the silver screen with ‘Diary of a Butterfly’ says that she did not actively stay out of the news for so long. She says that she was not on some long break but was busy with writing her own film script which she plans to co-direct and even act in.
Udita who made the audiences sit back and gulp with her role in her debut movie ‘Paap’, later moved to be typecast in thriller or suspense movies like ‘Aksar’, ‘Aggar’, ‘Zeher’, ‘Chase’ etc. This is not what she set out to become, she never wanted to act in multi-starrers, she says. She has had enough of doing films with 4 worthwhile scenes and 1 song. She would like to be the queen in her film, it should revolve around her, she emphasizes.
Is this why she is all ready.
