A speedy farce, but full of meaningless and causeless tumbles. Not all of it is palpably artificial and we have noticed that the people want some of this rough-house stuff with their good comedies and dramatic stories. This is not exactly what they want, but it imitates it, and is a fair offering. The scheme on which it is built is slight and not new. - The Moving Picture World, July 11, 1914
