Sex & Nudity

  • One character frequently wears tops that reveal cleavage.
  • Some mild fanservice in the form of bath scenes. No nudity is ever visible.
  • Mild sexual innuendo.
  • While the majority of the show has minimal sexual content, there is a scene where a woman is implied to have raped a 13 year old boy. While this is offscreen, she removes her clothes (no nudity visible) and presses herself onto him. The screen fades to black and when the scene is revisited, the boy's naked body is shown lifeless on the floor in the back of her, while she comments on how "generous" he had been during the ordeal. She later becomes pregnant and has children from him.

Violence & Gore

  • This is an extremely violent anime. Monsters and people (sometimes children) are killed brutally, and there is a large amount of blood and gore. The series even makes use of a spray blood effect.

Profanity

  • Some profanity; "bitch", "hell", "damn", "bastard", "piss", and "ass" are the only real swear words used. This is infrequent, however - at most 3 swears are used per episode.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • No drug use, but alcohol and tobacco are commonly used.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The violence in this show can be very graphic and may disturb some viewers.
  • While, aside from violence, the show can appear to be tame; there is a scene where a woman rapes and kills a 13 year old boy and has children from him, as noted above. This scene is completely uncalled for and may disturb even viewers who have adjusted to the show's extreme level of violence. This is also a major plot point and is very frequently brought up after it occurs.
