Dolores Costello is as lovable as ever
deickemeyer29 December 2017
Mrs. Mary Maurice is featured in this picture. This fact alone goes far to make for the success ot the subjeet. The story is a simple one; yet it is of a type with which this company is so successful. Mrs. Maurice portrays an old woman with one possession prized above all others, her wedding gown. When adversity comes she is obliged to accept an offer she has received for the garment from an antique hunter. She displays in her interpretation the intelligence and the charm which always characterize her work. Two children have important parts, Kenneth Casey and Dolores Costello. The latter is as lovable as ever; the former is permitted to overact. James Lackaye directs the picture. - The Moving Picture World, November 8, 1913
