It Was Excellent

Warning: Spoilers
I thought it was a great idea to get all the actors back again just for a little looking back, i think you should judge for yourself if they really did "Stay Gold" I think that Mr. Coppala should have tried to get more of the actors together But it was still nice to see how they all ended up, It's also pretty cool because they show you some of the props like the Mustangs that were used in the movie. I wish they could have made it a little longer but i think it was still nice. This movie was just like a big reunion for the actors and it was like they really hadn't been apart. << That was actually a quote from one of the actors about them all getting back together. Especially if you really liked this movie, like i did, you will really enjoy this.

the outsiders

Warning: Spoilers
the outsiders book was an amazing book to be honest it was my favorite, and the movie was exceptional, there are rumors that it is being re-released with an extra 40 or 30mins, that was cut on its first release, but i do agree it should be re-released and would be rather profitable because the outsiders the book by S.E.Hinton and the movie have such a large fan basis around the world. There is also a petition for fox's TV series the outsiders to be released in a DVD box set, so if u are interested i ask you very kindly to sign this petition for the re-releases of both the movie with the added scene's and the t.v series. You can access the petition threw this link

The Outsiders revisited.
michaelRokeefe28 January 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Kim Aubry directs this documentary of Francis Ford Coppola inviting cast members of THE OUTSIDERS(1983)to view his reassembled version of the movie. C. Thomas Howell, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Diane Lane, Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze and others get a first look at THE OUTSIDERS:THE COMPLETE NOVEL. Previous deleted scenes are added as bookends and scattered throughout. Along with a very good selection of period music from Jerry Lee lewis, Van Morrison and the King, Elvis Presley. The opening theme for STAYING GOLD is probably the most beautiful song Stevie Wonder has ever recorded.

Along for the ride is the author S.E. Hinton, who wrote the book as a junior at Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma where the book takes place circa 1966. Hinton and Coppola go back to locations in Tulsa that she featured in the book and actually used by Coppola in the movie. Its a very interesting 'then and now'. I found it a little touching watching Rob Lowe's reaction to seeing a lot of his work restored to the movie. THE OUTSIDERS:THE COMPLETE NOVEL brings more depth to the characters and this great story of teenage outcasts coming of age.
