The story of "Kung Bakit May Korona ang Bayabas" features an arrogant and ruthless king named Bai-Abas (Antonio Aquitania) who is obsessed with his golden crown. When the poor blacksmith Mura-On (Gardo Versoza) and his young son Atok (JM Reyes) accidentally drop the golden crown, causing a big dent on it, the enraged King Bai-Abas throws Mura-On in jail. Because the awful king does not heed Atok's desperate pleas for his father's freedom, the young boy will ask the fairies for help. What will Atok do to free his father? Juanito, a chronic liar, is jealous of his parent's adopted daughter, Isay. He makes up stories and even tells people that he has seen a Nuno Sa Punso who is out to get Isay. Juanito lies twice before he sees a real nuno and a dwende. His parents wont believe him. Juanito, together with Epoy, Jewel and Rextor decide to follow Isay and find the magical world of the dwendes. The nuno reprimands Juanito and Epoy for lying to their parents. He even tests Juanito if he would be willing to sacrifice Isay to stay with them. Juanito begs the nuno to take him instead of Isay. Nuno acknowledges Juanito's sacrificial gesture and sends him and Isay back to Juanito's parents. Juanito promises not to lie anymore.

A poor peasant named Tonio has fallen for the rich girl Lea. Tonio would like to woo Lea but her discriminating father, Don Selmo, belittles Tonio and deems him unworthy to be his daughter's suitor. One day, Tonio sees a wounded rooster and tends to it instead of cooking it for supper. Convinced of Tonio's benevolence, the rooster transforms into a magical phoenix. It tells the kind-hearted peasant that he can obtain a pot of gold if he would only be patient enough to chase a ball of fire called San Telmo, which is believed to be the guardian of the pot of gold. Tonio patiently waits for the San Telmo with Epoy, Jewel and Rextor until he finds it and chases it for days. Will Tonio's perseverance pay off? Will he be able to catch the ball of fire, obtain the pot of gold and win the woman of his dreams?

In the colony of fireflies, back when fireflies were as big as humans, they did all their work at daytime because they feared the dark and the creatures of the night, especially the horrifying Hogres. Mirayon, a female firefly, was intrigued specially when she found out that visitors Epoy, Jewel and Rextor the Robot were able to stay out at night. Fearing for Mirayon's life, Manlak tried to rescue her and in darkness, he found out the use of the light emanating from their backs. And so the fireflies realized that their newfound courage and teamwork was the best defense even in the darkness of night.
