Sex & Nudity

  • A naked child and woman are shown together. The woman's nipples are shown briefly outlined when close up. At a distance, while both characters are shown full body, pubic hair is visible on the woman. The entire sequence is very quick.
  • Two naked women, apparently disembodies spirits, meet each other.
  • At the beginning of the film, a young woman is sold to a man 'to fulfill his desires'. She escapes his home after realizing she was sold off and abandoned by her family.
  • Durring a battle a man removes his top.

Violence & Gore

  • A villain drills into the protagonist (no blood).
  • Many characters point guns at the main characters at some point in the film.
  • Some scenes of guns being pointed and fired.
  • The main character jumps and knocks out a man.
  • A character coughs up blood. This is very gory.
  • In a battle with a monster, the monster is mutilated. Not only is this gory, the mutilated parts are revived and run around which could disturb some viewers.
  • The main character fights a dragon, and the dragon is shot at by helicopters (some blood).
  • Durring a sequence, a child is bitten in half by a creature. Very gory scene.
  • It is implied a man commits suicide by burning himself alive. This is briefly disturbing and shocking to the viewer. We later find this is not the case and the character is in fact alive a few moments later.
  • The main character watches his father impale himself on the teeth of a dead dragon, temporarily killing him as he is immortal. Blood erupts from the body. This is gory and upsetting.
  • In a sequence, a main character is shot and dies instantly. This is gory and upsetting. Later we see another character covered in his blood holding the body.
  • A suit of armor is opened up to reveal the mangled body of a character who has been killed off screen by her own creation.
  • One of villians is dragged into a limbo like universe that is the afterlife.
  • There are various other violent scenes without blood.

Profanity

  • Some mild language.
  • "Dammit" and "Bastard" are used frequently
  • The film takes place in 1920's Germany. There is period anti-semitism and racism. White supremacy is also mentioned often by characters.
  • It is frequently brought up that a main character is a gypsy.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Some characters drink alcohol. Scenes take place in a beer house.
  • A character smokes.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This movie contains a profuse amount of blood and gore for a PG-13 film.
  • The viewer may find the evolved form of Gluttony disturbing and frightening, Envy the dragon can be scary.
  • Durring a sequence, a child sacrifices himself to save another child and to join his mother in the afterlife. This is emotional and extremely gory.
  • A child returns to the scene of a battle, he sees the crushed body of another child. He attempts to revive the body but is stopped. The scene is very emotional and may upset viewers.
  • The villain creates an army of soldiers made of the dead. They all wear a suit of armor exactly like or close to what is worn by one of the main characters. This can be disturbing in some scenes.
  • A child is reunited with his mother in the afterlife. The sequence can be upsetting given the situation.
