Trivialidades:

The lead character's name was shortened from the book's Tristran, with a "r" between the "t" and "n", to Tristan because Tristran was hard to pronounce quickly. However there is one time it is said as "TristRan" instead of "Tristan". This is during the scene when Tristan remarks that Yvaine sometimes glows, when he suggests jokingly that the thing that Stars do best is to annoy boys called "TristRan Thorn".

Goofs:

Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In one of the scenes where Mormo and Empusa are talking to Lamia in a mirror (and telling her that the star has returned to Earth and is also being pursued by a prince) the scene is shot from above. It is clear, however, that Mormo's words are not synched with the sound. In one shot she is saying the same thing but out of synch. In another, the sound of her speaking is not related in any way to what she's saying. Though not actually stated much in the film, the reflection of the witches in the book is always a reflection of their younger selves.

Previews do no justice...

Why are the previews so blah for a movie that is so awesome!! Everyone should know what an excellent movie this is. It is engaging and funny from moment one, original, and well-acted. I wish the movie was doing itself as good press as it deserves!

For anyone that loved The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, and other truly funny and original fantasy adventure, this is one of the great ones. Robert DeNiro is hysterical. Relative newcomer Charlie Cox is an incredible leading man. Claire Danes is fantastic as always. Michelle Pfiefer is making quite a splash with her recent returns to the screen. There are also a lot of wonderful moments from minor characters...even down to facial expressions.
