Love's Labor Lost
Joë Hamman and Gaston Modot are two railroad men who love the same girl, but even in France, she can only marry one of them. As they run their train on the line, they quarrel, and there is a crash: a real one, with their train hitting another.
It looks like Jean Durand, wh directed this, tookadvantage of a real crash to film parts of the footage. There's also some good model work of the crash. With that as a basis, it was no problem to use Hamman -- better remembered for his Westerns Camembert -- and Modot -- usually a second banana in Durand's comedy movies -- as a railroad engineer and assistant.
