'War of the Worlds': Production Diaries, West Coast - Destruction (2005)

*** (out of 4)

The third of a three part series from Laurent Bouzereau takes a look at the production of WAR OF THE WORLDS. The "video diary" takes us behind-the-scenes of the production as it moves to the West Coast where the stuff dealing with Tim Robbins and the farm house was shot as well as several stunts including the scenes in the water. Fans of the film are going to enjoy seeing all the behind-the-scenes stuff including countless scenes of Spielberg directing the cast. There's a lot of great stuff here because you get to see the crew interacting when there's no filming going on and it's fun seeing the likes of Spielberg, Cruise and Robbins just messing around. There's also interviews with all the cast and crew members who discuss everything about the stunts and production.
