Good, seven-minute promotional piece about the making of WAR OF THE WORLDS features interviews with director Steven Spielberg, writer David Koepp, producer Paula Wagner and star Tom Cruise. Spielberg kicks things off talking about the various science fiction movies that he liked as a child and then why he wanted to revisit this story. Cruise also talks about Spielberg giving him three possible films but this one here was the one they both knew was right. From here we learn from the screenwriter a few things that everyone agreed shouldn't be in the movie. This short promotional piece isn't ground-breaking in any way, shape or form but it's still very entertaining as you at least get to hear from the key members of the production on why they wanted to do the film.
