This is one of my favorite episodes of 21 Jump Street. It features the debut of David Barry Gray as Officer Dean Garrett, who along with Alexandra Powers (Officer Kati Rocky) joined the cast. Unfortunately David was only in three episodes, and Kati in two. That's a shame because I didn't warm to McCann or Penhall (the younger one), both of whom joined in season 5.
Anyway, this episode features a bunch of corrupt cops who are on the take, e.g. Getting free meals from a Chinese restaurant in return for protection, and it's Christmas everyday for the corrupt cops. It turns out Garrett works to bring down the corrupt cops, and as a result he's invited to join the 21 Jump Street team.
Unfortunately this is the final episode appearance by Dustin Nguyen, who really deserved more stardom from 21 Jump Street. It's a shame he didn't get a spin-off series.
