Holiday in the Hills
Prismark109 December 2019
The episode starts off in Guatemala as BA, Face and Hannibal wait to be picked up by Murdock after a mission helping the church. Now how did BA think he got to Guatemala? Nevermind Hannibal does the mosquito trick to put him out so they can fly out of there.

I guess it makes a change of some people getting the runaround just to hire The A Team.

The plane Murdoch acquired was waiting to be repaired. It crash lands somewhere in South Carolina. They come across some violent hillbillies giving some government official a roasting.

The A Team rescue him and the hillbillies are not happy.

Hannibal takes BA's advice. The best offense is the best defence but they are low on ammunition. Face dresses up as a priest and charms a local lady. Amy is being followed by a veteran reporter who is in cahoots with the military police.

The episode is a showcase for Dwight Schultz with his wackiness and penchant for an English accent.

Above average redneck action
Leofwine_draca1 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
HOLIDAY IN THE HILLS is an above average episode of THE A-TEAM, and a big contrast to the preceding New York-set instalment. This one sees the boys crash landing in the woods and getting entangled with a group of murderous rednecks, including among their number Bill McKinney (the ultimate redneck villain from DELIVERANCE). This one has some really outlandish comedy scenes involving Murdoch's plane flying, good material for the consistently funny Mr. T, and some great, large-scale action scenes.

Guatemala - Los Angeles route
deadapostle28 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
The only really major problem I have with this episode is that they travel from Guatemala to Los Angeles by plane and crash in... South Carolina?

It's 2200 miles to LA from Guatemala City. 1500 miles from Guatemala City to Columbia, SC. 2200 miles from Columbia, SC to LA.

Provided Murdock was going to head straight to LA from SC, they'd be turning a 2200 mile trip into a 3700 mile trip.

Basically, Murdock was flying in a humongous circle around Los Angeles. Of course, Murdock is Howling Mad, so what do you expect? Ten stars because it's the freaking A-Team.

Dwight Schultz has a field day
Tom_Barrister21 October 2012
This episode is especially good for fans of Dwight Schultz's "Howling Mad Murdoch." This episode appears to have been built around Murdoch, and Schultz takes advantage of the opportunity and literally steals the show. He makes the most of the ample opportunities to show off Murdoch's wild and crazy side. The glider scene is especially screwy.

But it's not all insanity. We get to see bits of Murdoch's serious side, when the character needs to be serious, and we even find out that Schultz has a decent singing voice.

The storyline has a few holes in it, but they're fairly well ignored among Schultz's various antics.

If you love watching Captain Murdoch in action, you'll want to see this episode.

Interesting fact, or maybe not.

Warning: Spoilers
In the UK, this episode was first broadcast 10.30pm on a sunday night rather than the usual saturday evening slot because of the burning at the stake story.
