This segment reunites Bette Davis with her Now, Voyager (1942) costar Paul Henreid, this time taking the director's chair; Henreid would later direct her in the theatrical film Dead Ringer (1963).
Miss Fox states right at the beginning: "Age cannot wither us, nor custom stale our infinite variety." This is a quote from William Shakespeare's "Antony and Cleopatra": "Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale/Her infinite variety." says Domitius Enobarbus, Antony's aide de camp.
The cinematographer here was Bette Davis' favorite cameraman, Ernest Haller. Haller, in addition to winning an Oscar for Gone with the Wind (1939), filmed such Davis hits as Jezebel (1938), Dark Victory (1939), Mr. Skeffington (1944), and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962).
In many of the series' previous episodes, defunct Mexican currency stood in for U.S. Currency. In this episode, when Mrs. Fox counts out $500, the bills look like U.S. currency. Benjamin Frankin is on the obverse, but the reverse does not match the reverse of the notes in circulation at the time.
