Talky but informative episode
gridoon20248 December 2009
Warning: Spoilers
"Full Disclosure" reminded me of two previous "Alias" episodes: "Q & A", because most of it is simply Kendall and Sydney talking (although this time it's Kendall who's providing nearly all the info), and "Phase One", because it changes the entire main premise of the season: up until now it was "What happened during Sydney's missing two years?". Now we learn what happened, more or less, and are ready to move on to a different main goal. This episode is very talky, but thanks to the brilliant actor Terry O'Quinn, the talk never becomes tiresome. It is quite impressive how all the pieces of the puzzle fit together to create an accurate overview of a 2-year time period in a matter of 30 on-screen minutes. If you go back to the start of the season, and remember some basic assumptions (Sydney was brainwashed, she killed a Russian diplomat, she had her memories erased against her will), it turns out that all of them were wrong - I like a show where the story is ahead of the viewer! *** out of 4.

Answers... and another question

Warning: Spoilers
No sooner have the CIA got their hands on the Rambaldi Cube than they lose it again when a secret government department come and take it away... they don't keep it long though as it is soon stolen by the Covenant. That night Sydney is kidnapped and awakens to find herself on a plane with FBI Director Kendell who tells her that he knows exactly what had happened during her two missing years.

It turns out that Sydney had had her own memories erased and had asked Kendell never to reveal what happened, however with the theft of the cube he had to tell her to get an idea how to get it back. During the first half of the episode we see flashbacks of some of the things that happened in the missing time; seeing how she was taken by the Covenant and how they attempted to brainwash her and later how she worked with Lazarey to retrieve and then re-hide the cube.

Thanks to Marshall's curiosity they are able to locate the cube again and go to prevent the Covenant from using it. The episode ends with a surprising reveal that will almost certainly become the main theme of the second half of the season.

This was a good episode, we got to learn quite a lot about what has being going on then were given a new concern at the end. There was also some good action scenes towards the end.
