Kitchen fight
gridoon20248 October 2009
Warning: Spoilers
It had been a while since Sydney was involved in a (comparatively) long fight with a highly skilled opponent, and it happens here as she goes up against the Snowman of the title, a freelance assassin who's been hired by K-Directorate to kill Khasinau. This fight is about as good as you'll see in most James Bond movies, and it's followed by a twist that, although it may seem unlikely, if you rewatch the episode you can see it being subtly built up in a few spots (a conversation with Dixon, the year the CIA started considering the Snowman dead, etc.). The other memorable parts of this episode are a new device created by Marshall that drowns out all nearby sounds (!), and Vaughn's meeting with a still alive victim of the Snowman's brutality (the acting is particularly strong by both Michael Vartan and Stephen Spinella in that scene). Video footage of Sydney's mother after her supposed death is found on the computer records that SD-6 had stolen from Khasinau in the previous episode; Jack's reaction upon seeing it is a voluntary visit to the office of CIA's psychological counselor. *** out of 4.

Killing is his job... he likes his job
Tweekums12 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
After a night of passion with Noah Hicks Sydney flees with him as their hiding place is found; to escape they must be picked up by an aircraft while riding a motorbike! Once back the item they recovered is analysed and information on it proves that not only is Sydney's mother alive; so is the FBI agent who allegedly died in the crash... he was KGB as well! In order to find his whereabouts Sydney and Noah break into a warehouse and copy the data on a computer. When they get back it looks as if the mission had been a waste of time as something had deleted the data they had transferred to Noah's laptop. It looks as if Noah won't be there long as he requests another undercover posting; this is only a ruse to get away though; he tells Sydney he is planning to retire to Tuvalu and he'd be happy if she could join him. It later transpires that Marshall managed to work his magic and recover the data from the laptop. The ex-FBI man is now in Australia so Sydney is sent hoping to find a lead to both Khasinau and her mother; there is a problem though; a freelance hit man known as The Snowman is also going there and inevitably he and Sydney will have to do battle.

This episode had a spectacular start with an escape that wouldn't have been out of place in a James Bond movie. Once back in LA things slow down a bit; Will and Francie confront Sydney about the ticket to Italy but she has a plausible explanation; hopefully that will put an end to them constantly going on about her job. It is a pity that we won't be seeing any more of Noah Hick as Peter Berg but in a good performance; at least he got to go out in a spectacular fashion. It was good to learn more about Sydney's mother and what she says on the recording explains exactly why Jack doesn't want Sydney to have anything to do with her; no doubt she will soon enough though.

Could not get this episode so much

Could not get this episode so much

If noah has lots of money, why does he continue to kill?

If sydney had accepted to come, would noah still go to kill? Or he knew it before that sydney would not come?

It was tragic episode. For sydney, for jack.

And i could not undertand why K-Directorate wanted to kill Khasinau. Because in moscow he ordered to kill their leaders?
