The edition is set during the activation of the Holme Moss television transmitter on 12th October 1951, the West Yorkshire mast which brought TV to the North of England.
This was the last episode to use BBC Television Centre in London for filming some interiors. Production subsequently moved entirely to Pebble Mill Studios in Birmingham, purportedly because the crew was more flexible and less unionized than in London.
"Muffin the Mule" is referenced in this episode, which was broadcast from 1946-1955.
