The arsonist

The topic is very simple: Baretta is chasing an arsonist, a man who fires places all over the city. That's all, simple at the most, maybe the simplest story of the whole series. But maybe not so simple. Because it appears that the ordinary arsonist who usually smashes warehouses or rich people's mansions, suddenly destroys buildings where poor people live in, killing those folks; his M.O. is suddenly changing. Why? Is he, at least, the same? Baretta will ask help from a former arsonist himself - Hector Helizondo - to nail the maniac. And we see the cop's helper becoming himself the target of the fire man, who knows the whole about him. After all, that's a very good suspense tale here, told by the prolific TV vet Ted Post - and not Don Medford, a sort of copycat of Ted Post - who explores the arson genre in the movies, or episodes. It's not BACKDRAFT but worth viewing, believe me. Look out for the twist ending, the most surprising in the whole series so far.
