The French phrase Nina Foch says (Où il y a le triangle, il y a la mort) is no more a French saying than it is an American one ("Where there is the triangle, there is death"), and she pronounces "mort" wrong: It's pronounced "morr", not "mortt". With rare exceptions, the ending consonants are always silent in French.
