Jaime and Evel are being chased by a police helicopter, but stock footage supposedly from the inside of the vehicle shows a much larger, military chopper complete with close-ups of a projectile gun that is not visible in wide shots. Also visible are rice fields below that clash with the California hills doubling as East-Germany.
When Evel leaves the arena and skids to a stop to avoid hitting the Mercedes, skid marks from previous takes are visible on the pavement.
When Jamie and Evel are riding on motorcycle, Evel twists the throttle as to rev up cycle repeatedly. This would cause cycle to speed up and slow erratically. Obviously on fake motorcycle.
When Jamie meets Evel for the first time, he starts to chase the car that's fleeing with the tape, they go through the same gate and street that they take when running away from the KGB headquarter, even though the first scene is in West Germany, and the second scene is in East Germany.
Although Evel Knievel's performance is said to be in West Germany, footage from Knievel's 1971 jump at the Houston Astrodome, complete with giant American flag, American advertisements, and American cars is used, with a German announcer's voice dubbed over the footage.
When Jaime and Evel are in the truck looking for clothes, the shadow of the boom mic is visible at the top of the frame.
