Sid Abbott is equally concerned for both his son and his daughter, Sally is sixteen end appears to be on the pill, whilst Mike is going out with a Ballet dancer, named Gene.
This is the first time I've watched an episode of Bless this house, and I'm pleasantly impressed, it's an amusing debut episode, and wonderfully of the time, Sid's sheer horror at the thought of a sexually active daughter, and a gay son, very funny, but reflect attitudes of the time.
It was something of a surprise to see that this one was in black and white.
My efforts to work through Sid's catalogue of work continues, I've watched all of the available Citizen Smith episodes, all of George and The Dragon, his character here seems very different.
Here Sid seems to be the protective dad character, he's definitely not the cheeky, sex fuelled guy famous in the Carry on films, it'll be interesting to see how he develops.
I'm keen to see more.
8/10.
