The Top of the Pile Restaurant is probably meant to reference the Top of the Rock, owned by Stouffer's, the frozen food people, atop the Prudential Building in Chicago. The Stouffers, in the 1920s, created a restaurant brand that in the 1950s formed the "Top of" restaurants throughout the United States atop skyscrapers in cities like Detroit, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, New York, and others. The Stouffer's brand was acquired by Nestle, who divested the restaurants to a hotel chain in the 1990s.
The episode's title comes from the song; "My Heart Belongs to Daddy", (1938 by Cole Porter) for the musical; Leave It to Me! performed by Mary Martin).
