- Cory joins the wrestling team to make a name for himself, but eventually realizes that he doesn't have to prove anything. Cory and Topanga's mutual interest in each other is revealed for the first time.
- The show opens with Topanga approaching Cory and Shawn to ask them about their accomplishments at school so far this year (for the yearbook). Cory comes to realize that they haven't really accomplished anything or made any name for themselves, and blames it on the jocks. They come over and lift Shawn, but say that he is too heavy. When Cory is lifted, however, they tell him he is now on the wrestling team in the 108 lb. division, as there is an opening. He is reluctant at first, but when they give him a school jacket, wrestling singlet, and "Candy" (an attractive girl), he can't resist. Alan signs his permission slip, happy that he is taking on the sport. Cory is then seen in the cafeteria with all the wrestlers cheering him on as the newest member of the team. They all chug down soda and then crush the cans on their foreheads. Cory attempts to crush his can, but does it slowly and ends up in pain. Next we go to a class of Mr. Feeny's, where a bed is being wheeled in by a woman, much to his despise. Griffin "Griff" Hawkins appears and explains to Mr. Feeny that this is the only time he could schedule his masseuse. He lays down and gives her instructions, only to be wheeled out by Mr. Feeny and told to wait in his office, after advising Joey and Frankie to get their own lives as they may need to in the case of Griff's expulsion. Then we head to Chubbie's, where Cory and the other wrestlers are roughhousing. Topanga wants to continue interviewing him for the yearbook, but realizes that he is becoming much like the other jocks. Shawn says that Topanga likes Cory, and she acts as if she doesn't, threatening to kill him if he says it again. He does, and she walks out. Cory is then seeing roughhousing with another wrestler as Mr. Turner appears. He tells everyone to back off of Cory and asks who it was that threw the first punch, only to realize that he has joined the wrestling team. Cory then tells him that there is nothing to worry about, and that he is the only wrestler in his weight class so he never has to fight. This doesn't last however, as he discovers that Joey has joined the wrestling team, wanting to make a name for himself as well. We go to the gym, where Cory is seen jumping rope at a very high pace. Shawn comes in, impressed. Joey and Frankie come in to train, and after seeing Joey try to knock Frankie down a few times, Cory thinks that he has nothing to fear in Joey. He soon realizes he is wrong again as Joey drop kicks Frankie to the ground. At the match to determine who will get the spot on the team and the jacket, Joey attempts to run Cory down, but he just steps out of the way. Joey turns around and walks back, as Cory jumps on him and pins him in a matter of seconds. After this, Joey appears everywhere calling Cory "yellow." Eventually, after Cory is pressured into it, he accepts a rematch. Just as it's about to begin, Cory realizes that he has nothing to prove, and that there will only be a few jocks watching anyway, so he's going to back out. As he walks out, he realizes he is wrong yet again, as he sees many people in attendance. He still attempts to bail, but Griff grabs him and explains how much work was put into this match, just as Robert Goulet appears singing 'The Star Spangled Banner' as the ring announcer. Many VIPs appear as well, such as Yasmine Bleeth from Baywatch, and Frankie's fictional father but real-world wrestler, Leon White (Vader). Cory gets Joey down, but he tags in Frankie. Cory then hops out of the ring but pulls Eric in. Eric pokes frankie in the eyes and head-butts him, which seems to be working. Frankie then tags in Vader, and things make a big turnaround. He lifts Eric up by the neck and groin, and hoists him above his head. Mr. Feeny appears and commands him to put Eric down, but Vader stands tall. Not intimidated, he steps into the ring and tells him once again to put Eric down, threatening to use his actual name, Leslie. Hearing this, he immediately puts him down, but tells him that next time things will be different. Finally, we are back in the school hallway, where Cory gives the jacket back to the wrestling jock, who says that he is "all right." Topanga appears, as Shawn begins to walk away, coughing and saying "You like him" under his breath. She tells Shawn to shut up, then asks Cory what quote he would like under his yearbook picture. He asks her what she put for hers, to which she replies "I do my thing and you do your thing. You are you and I am I, and if in the end we end up together, it's beautiful." He tells her to put the same for him.
