- Dennis Kaufman: So, are we still on for Saturday night?
- Diane Chambers: Ummm, next Saturday would be impossible.
- Dennis Kaufman: You don't want to go out with me again, do you?
- Diane Chambers: I didn't say that, Dennis. You're putting words in my mouth.
- Dennis Kaufman: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to.
- Diane Chambers: No no, they're the right words.
- Sam Malone: Hey, where's this relief waitress you hired?
- Woody Boyd: Oh, don't worry, Sam. She's a great waitress, a complete professional.
- Sam Malone: Oh, how come she's not here?
- Woody Boyd: Well, she called and said she'd be about twenty minutes late. She wants to get in all her breaks before she starts.
- Norm Peterson: Uh, pardon me, am I mistaken, but did you use to work at the Hungry Heifer?
- Corinne: Sure, I worked there.
- Norm Peterson: Yeah?
- Corinne: Say, I know you. The girls there had a pet name for you.
- Norm Peterson: What was that?
- Corinne: That guy who comes back.
- Carla Tortelli: Yeah, well count me out. You know, every time we had a family gathering, they always tried to get me interested in opera. I just couldn't stand it. Just a bunch of fat, lonely people screeching and trying to stab each other.
- Dr. Frasier Crane: Carla, you know, not all operas are like that.
- Carla Tortelli: I was talking about the family gathering.
