The blind man in question is a prosecutor who has acid thrown into his eyes by a woman whose the son - or husband - has been condemned to ten years for armed robbery. The blind man is married to a beautiful woman and of course suspects her to have affair with other men. He becomes obsessed by this. To the point where he kills one of those he guesses to steal his wife. Good scenery and acting too. Michael Rennie is here a Scotland Yard investigator making an inquest about the disappearing corpse. Very effective sequences for this powerful suspenser. The blind man commits the perfect murder disguising the murder as a suicide. But the policemen have already got it and persuade the blind man's wife to collaborate in order to nail the murderer...
