Warning: Spoilers
I liked this episode for a Season One entry, it has sufficient intrigue to keep my interest, it did not have any annoying role players, and the climax was a bit of surprise. I didn't miss Pope micro-managing Chief Johnson nor Taylor butting in to her business, Flynn I missed because I know he is about to come around and I missed Fritz because he lends his expertise before and after work, as always. Those cast members were selected for being the perfect role players, all of them fit splendidly into the story; they made the story, considering the episode had two attorneys knocking heads with Chief Johnson.

There are two murders in this story, one we catch happened less than a half-day after occurring and the other was in the recent past, both related in the sense they lived in the same house. The title gives away nothing other than Provenza stating the title and later retracting the title. The butler is found hanging from the flagpole rope in the back of the mansion. He is declared a murder victim after Dr. Crippen reexamines the corpse. The other victim was the wife found to be the victim of a drug overdose, later declared murdered as well. The Deputy District Attorney has his hopes of convicting one or more of the heirs to the late father's billions, specifically the three-adult offspring, and he thinks taking the butler to court will force a confession from the faithful servant as to which of them killed their step-mother. Unfortunately, the butler is killed. The D.D.A. goes to Chief Johnson for forgiveness then assistance in finding the person or persons connected to the murders. Brenda tolerates the attorney's meddlesome ways and despite this, gets the killer of both the wife and butler to confess in front of the D.D.A.

Watch the episode unfold with Brenda at the helm, less some usual cast members. The only one left with the motive, means and opportunity to commit the crimes is the main person left out in the cold after the new wife began to clean house without the butler's help.
